Greetings
It is with great pleasure that we announce and invite you to the 16th Protein Island Matsuyama International Symposium (PIM2018), to be held on the 12th of September 2018 in Matsuyama, Ehime Japan.
PIM2018 is organized by Ehime University in conjunction with Ehime Prefecture, the City of Matsuyama, the Matsuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Ehime Association of Corporate Executives. PIM symposia began in 2003 with a goal of disseminating the 21st Century cell-free protein synthesis innovative knowledge and technology to the world. The first five years, symposia focused on establishment of a firm basis for cell-free protein synthesis. The subsequent years greatly emphasized on application of the accumulated protein synthesis knowledge and technology in different research fields, more so, on membrane proteins.
In 2013, Ehime University Proteo-Science center (PROS) was established with an objective of understanding life through the use of innovative wheat germ cell-free protein synthesis technology. PROS aims at creating a new research area, “Proteo-Science” to conduct cutting-edge research at molecular, cellular and individual levels and develop novel diagnostics and treatments in the management of intractable diseases.
This year, PIM2018 will with great honor host leading scientists and guest speakers on the current status of cutting-edge research in the molecular understanding of diseases. We look forward to having you join us and enjoy wonderful and memorable experiences in Matsuyama.
