It is with great pleasure that we announce and invite you to the 23rd Protein Island Matsuyama International Symposium (PIM2025), to be held on the 25th of September 2025 in Matsuyama, Ehime Japan.
PIM2025 is organized by Ehime University in conjunction with Ehime Prefecture, the City of Matsuyama, the Matsuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Ehime Association of Corporate Executives. PIM symposia began in 2003 with a goal of disseminating the 21st Century cell-free protein synthesis innovative knowledge and technology to the world. The first five years, symposia focused on establishment of a firm basis for cell-free protein synthesis. The second generation greatly emphasized on application of the accumulated protein synthesis knowledge and technology in different research fields. Last year, we began the third generation, focusing protein–protein interaction using protein array technology, because protein mainly functions as a complex in the cell. We believe, the understating of protein complex is to be clear a lot of questions found in the biology.
We look forward to having you join us and enjoy wonderful and memorable experiences in Matsuyama.
Tatsuya Sawasaki, Ph.D.
Professor and Director, Proteo-Science Center, Ehime University
Chairman, PIM Organizing Committee
