PIM symposia began in 2003 with a goal of disseminating the 21st Century cell-free protein synthesis innovative knowledge and technology to the world. The first five years, symposia focused on establishment of a firm basis for cell-free protein synthesis. The second generation greatly emphasized on application of the accumulated protein synthesis knowledge and technology in different research fields.
